What wonderful detail and DOF! I'm amazed at how 'furry' it looks, and also like the beautiful fern b/g, which in itself is a very nice capture - since it stands out against it's own blurred b/g. And 40 of them! What kind of place was this??

Beautiful details, not just in the butterfly but in the fern as well. Interesting to see a butterfly I know well (living opposite a wood I see these daily) with what looks like a local colour variant - this seems a lot darker than the ones I see around Norfolk.

Oh Vic you couldnt have asked for a more beautiful Background I am sure.. The butterfly is so well detailed I can see all the textures on its tiny body and the Fern splayed out behind like this is just perfect.
