Although there is a little movement in one wingtip, I was quite pleased with this one which is cropped but full frame size and taken with my ordinary 18-200mm.

Excellent and very sharp capture V. Spot on exposure and great bokeh.
A winner for sure.

A well captured pix of a female Monarch. Good DoF and excellent focus.

Super shot here Vic. If you had not pointed the tiny motion I would not have noticed it. I like the delicate little flowers that surround it to add to the contrast in the beautiful butterfly wings. perfect Dof and colour.

Love the colours and composition on this shot, and that movement on the wingtips can so easily be forgiven as it doesn't affect the overall picture.
Cheers....Mark

The butterfly colors and details are excellent, as is the oof b/g - except for that one big white area that keeps distracting me. (sorry) I would have added a little tan coloration to that area to make it blend in better with the rest of the b/g.

Gorgeous colours and good detail in the butterfly and flower. Shame about the light area in the background but we can't always avoid such things, and it's better left natural than messed with in Photoshop!

Hi Vic.
Plenty of DOF for this shot which is great for getting everything in focus but the price was a slow shutter speed allowing the wing-tip movement to show..... which of course you know!! Smile Regardless of that, it's still a cracking shot of a beautiful butterfly full of vivid colour and incredible detail in the static elements. Nicely done!!
Regards Vic.
