An old Volvo still going strong I see. I think the selection may have been more effective as a simple selection with no border or if a border then very thin and black perhaps broken at the corners and offset against one another. When I first looked I thought you'd included the focus point.

Not bad at all, but I prefer the volvo who is blurred at the background, even I'm not a Volvo fan.
Time changed fast, right ?

I like your experiment. I am not sure about the red around the focus area. Possibly a less obvious transition might have accomplished the impact you were looking for. Yep I do like it .

Its a good idea and very well exectuted but for me that massive blurred effect isn't one which appeals - makes me want to clean my monitor or my glasses
