....Autumn Colors....

On Tuesday - October 6, 2009 - I uploaded this PoV of this image called ....Fall in the Country.... - todays image was taken after 2 very early snow storms (45 days early for us) that have removed the opportunity for ....Autumn Colors.... this year. Below I have included the notes from the image of October 6th - the image is in my gallery if you would like to compare the two.

....Fall in the Country....

This neighbors farmstead as always interested me. Of all the buildings (including their home and this barn) only this barn can be seen from a mile away. As you near the farmstead all disappear on a hill with only a lane to lead you up to them - their home and buildings.

I have stopped short of the lane and hiked up the hill (from the back side) to composed the fall grasses and a portion of the barn and windmill behind the old pasture fence.

Thanks, so much to everyone for looking in to my gallery and special thanks to all who leave thoughts, ideas adn comments. -Larry

Good morning Larry, Wow...winter has come early in nebraska. As you say, 45 days early. Too early for my liking. I like the blue hue of this shot. Nicely composed. Time to light the fire!! Joni

Hi Larry - it sure looks cold out there! Really nice to see the two photos together taken from the same POV at different times. Amazing what a few weeks can make! Really nice composition Larry.
Have a great day

Well done Larry. what a difference a few weeks can make huh? You have a little less of the tree in this one and maybe a touch more of the wind mill but other than that it is almost identical. It is going to be a long winter for you with it staying on the ground this early. What happened to sitting at a bistro in Texas? Smile . Stay warm.
Regards

Hello Larry.
That looks more to a serious winter scene.!
Hopefully it is just a temporary snow storm, and after the reall Autumn will at least be shown on the land for some longer time.
Thanks for the good info about it.
Cheers from Jan

Autumn color replaced by the hue of winter.
I like the blue cast.

I still see a hint of fall color! Sorry you have been hit so early with snow, but it really has lent a special beauty to this scene. I especially like how it has highlighted the f/g 'weeds' and contours of the land. Well done Larry!

Autumn it is Larry even if it is white and not coloured. If it is any consolation parts of our highlands are still having snowfalls and it is almost summer here. Nicely captured,

Hi Larry hope you are well.
The weather is so strange lately, it's still very warm over here.
The Snow looks deep to me, get the sledge and dogs out.
Nice Winter scene even if it is early.

Thanks
