You have the knack of achieving superbly deep and brightly coloured pictures without either extreme contrast or saturation. This enhances the shadow detail and the textures generally so that one can feel the delicate softness of the butterfly's wings. The colour (of the butterfly especially is so vibrant yet entirely natural. A fine line to tread but trod here quite impeccably. Butterfly pictures can be boring to the non-specialist but images like this will surely keep our attention.
I notice you use similar equipment to our other specialist, Vixpix.

I once told you I was not a butterfly person but your superb shots are gradually changing my mind .. you have a knack of getting them sharp and colourful and with just the right pose (wings open ) well done Howard
