Taken yesterday when out on a hike in Essex.
Very wet under foot after the storms so didn't lay down on the floor to get this shot.
Hand held, close focus.
F8, 1/20 sec
Ps work
Slight crop
Slight saturation increase
Bordered.

Hi Rob.
I don't know whether the green leaves were there by chance or whether you placed them there but their addition makes this picture so much better compositionally and more attractive than it would have been without. The green contrasts so well with the rich reds of the dead leaves. The fungus itself is very sharp even in the large image.
An excellent capture.
Vic.

Hi Vic, apart from moving a small stick, no other gardening at all. Thanks

Eye catching detail in this shot. Good BG colors to make this mushroom stand out.

You have the steady hands of a surgeon. Magnificent macro with tack sharp details and wonderful vibrant saturation.

I think this is a toadstool rather than a mushroom .. love the range of colours in the shot and the clarity and detail of the toadstool.

Nice work Rob. Always hard getting decent focus in lower light but you succeeded well. Good colour and fine detail,
David
