Taken on a walk in Essex on Sunday.
We came to a large patch of these fungi in the woods, was just about to take a shot when one of the Ramblers decided to show his knowledge of things fungi and plucked a large specimen right from the centre of the biggest patch ...not pleased.
Which left me with the smaller group.

Very well done! Looks like a transplanted Polynesian village. Your DOF is perfect.

Excellent low viewpoint and perfect exposure. I'd maybe crop the odd ones on the right. You make fungi look very photogenic Rob. Excellent.

Hi Vic, thought about a tighter crop on the right but couldn't get a decent distance from the nibbled one to an edge and didn't want to resort to cloning it out so left it natural.
Glad you liked it

Absolutely superb! love the chosen depth of field, low POV is spot on and the leaves in focus too really give us a sense of scale. Well done I really like this shot.

the low level perspective and your exposure to take full advantage of the available light is commendable. These mushrooms look like they have a superb glow about them. Love it.

If someone had stolen my intended target I'd have been tempted to say in a loud voice "you do know that that species is toxic through touch don't you?" - wonder how confident in his knowledge he'd have been then? (btw I have no idea what species this is!)
Love the colours and lighting here, and don't think it suffers at all from whatever was taken away.
Cheers.....Mark
