Short series of 3 shots taken on the same day hours and several hundred feet in height apart showing how the weather can change dramatically in the lakes.
Taken during the summer, on top of Helvellyn in the lakes, thick very cold mist just like winter, almost snow conditions.
My extended family enjoying the non view....


PS shot from a couple of meters away, I deliberately left the picture etc as it was shot to try and portray the thick white mist.

What a well seen series here, I didnt realise for a while as I was commenting backwards through the gallery ( a bad habbit I know). Amazingly different weather conditions all in one day and a very interesting set of shots to show that fact.

Very very cold at the top.....and looks more like a Smirfs outing....

I know what you mean - I climbed Helvellyn by Striding edge 4 times in whiteout snow conditions before I actually saw it. Happily I've seen it plenty since.
