Hello peeps

I am sure you will have much to suggest with this shot and looking back to when I took it I wish I had understood more about HDR and taken a few images with different stops to show more detail in the darker areas.
However that being said I do quite like the result. Firstly I must tell you that yes sadly the water was green so its not a colour issue there. I also suspect some may feel areas of the image could have been cropped but I like the lines created by the hedge and the pathway leading the eye down to the water gardens, which by the way are at Blenheim Palace. Thirdly yes the main focal point is really central here so thats another rule broken but hey don't you think that sometimes rules are made to be broken lol.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Thanks again for viewing my image and reading my twaddle.

kind regards Helen

Hi Helen.. The water is hard to see, so I'm glad you mentioned it. I think there's good details in the shadows, and I love the perspective with the hedges pulling our eyes to the distant formal garden. And lastly, that focal point is actually a little off center, and doesn't bother me a bit. Nice composition, lovely shades of green and good details. If anything, I would have taken a burn tool and darkened that distant garden, as it seems so much lighter than the rest of the pic. Well seen and taken and good for the theme!

Tis always a tad difficult shooting from shadow to light Helen, if you find a solution let me know please. I picked the spot before reading it in the notes. A worthy submission to the theme and under the circumstances, well captured,
David
