I had warmer temps for a few days mid-November, & grabbed this last shot of the season. Central Texas. F/8, 1/2000th, ISO 1000, manual focus.

Excellent shot Howard! Great timing to get this pair completely side on for maximum DOF on both. They look to be ovipositing in tandem (female dipping her tail to lay eggs) which is always very dificult to catch as i know only too well, so very well done indeed.

When I read 'last flight' I was wondering whether one would die post mating. Glad to hear no mini-tragedy here - just superb stop-action wildlife photography!

Wow, what a settings you used.! excellent result with. Have to try that to, I never use high ISO that much.
