My dog, Henry- Norman who arrived from The UK last week. I adopted him when I was in Ireland and had already made the trip to the US without him. (Big mistake!)
Henry then had a round about way of making his way to Albuquerque, NM from Ireland. He first travelled from Ireland to the UK by ferry with a friend of mine. From there, my friend Felicity was in charge of bringing him to the US. Felicity took him shopping for a crate and he then flew in the hold of the American Airlines plane from Heathrow to Dallas. My two friends are 'horsy' people so are very used to travelling with animals. It all worked out so well.

I picked him up in Dallas and we then travelled by car to New Mexico. He took it all in his stride. It is great to have him with me again. He is the best companion.

The only downside. I am a real cat lover and I can’t have a cat with Henry. With him being a terrier, a Jack Russel/Westie cross, he is ‘hell on wheels ‘ with cats and chases them.

He has so much hair around his eyes that I was not able to catch the highlights of his eyes.Any suggestions how to add that in pp?

Bet he was so glad to see you Joni. Nice pose caught.. He's a cutie! You can bring out his eye a little more by using the dodge and burn tools.

He looks pretty tired from his long trip, but at least he is home now. Cute little guy!

I would have thought the Westie in him would have slowed him down somewhat Joni. We have a Jack and 3 cats and he is only scared of the female. I think he looks quite cute with the hair hanging over and shading the eye,

Hello Joni.
How come, when you are a cat lover, to adopt a dog, from so far away?
My brother is a dog lover too, after the dead of his dog, he adopted a dog from Spain. (from a special organisation who take care in Spain, about streetlife dogs).
As he always goes deep into everything, he became a volunteer, to handle the newcomming dogs at the airport for the new owners.
Yes, the last time he did, the dog, full of stress, bite his thumb through the nail and his wrist very badly.! He didn't lossed.!
My brother almost had to kill him to open his mouth to loss the hand.
Badly injured he is. He new owners when away with the dog, whithout helping him.
Ach.. Maybe they were shocked, Loek (my brother) replyed
For two weeks already he cant use his right hand, and many doctor visits later.!!!
BTW, yes i'm a cat lover, hahaha
Best regards from Jan

Hello Jan, To answer your questions. I live in Ireland part time, and Henry-Norman adopted me. He was so cute and such a companion that I couldn'r leave him behind...cat lover or not. I am sorry to hear about the injury to your brothers hand. I hope he recovers soon from the infection. I hope there is no long term damage. Thanks for the note. Joni

Nice shot which shows his character really well.
As to the highlights in the eyes, use the dodge tool (in whatever software package you use) to raise the highligthts in the eye - remember to use a small tool and to do it in a slight curve, not straight lines.
Here's wishing you and all you hold dear a great christmas and new year.
Cheers....Mark

Hiya Joni

This is a really adorable shot and I love the notes you posted with it Smile He looks so lovable and I think Marks suggestion re curves would work well for the catchlight in his eyes, although to be honest I dont miss seeing them as his long hair is his trademark and we know the loving eyes are there somewhere.
Thank you for posting and warm seasons greatings to you and your family.
kind regards Helen
