Tamarrama is a small beach close to the famous Bondi Beach.
The surfer was taken using a compact camera but close to the action as the photographer was on a headland overlooking the surf

Nice action shot with good details in the surf - very easy to overexpose the whites but you seem to have balanced it really well.
Hope you and those you hold dear have a good christmas and new year
Cheers....Mark

Perfect timing to catch the wave just as it breaks around the surfer, a great action shot and very well exposed too. Welcome to PC and have a great Christmas.

Welcome to PC Monaro Man and a good image to start off. I sometimes think that the smaller P&S cameras are better for this type of work,

I like the manner in which you have brought the viewer into the action... it would be easy to think that I was riding on an adjoining board rather than standing on a more distant headland and the sense of action that is created between the left to right flow of the surfer and surf line crashing across his body.

Absolutely superb shot here, very well composed giving the action room to move forward within the shot. Crisp and sharp with great colour and the whole frame filled with action. Lovely work here.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
thank you for posting
