The only downsides of my trip to the coast to see the Grey Seals was the fact that (a) I'd told both my kids I was going (b) they wanted to come along too and (c) no matter how you prepare the winter wind on the north norfolk coast is always colder than you expect.

This is my daughter, wrapped up in not just her coat etc but also in the inner part of my coat. Amazing that its as sharp as it is, because she was warm but I was rapidly developing hypothermia!

One of those shots that becomes stronger as the years go by... when the little girl grows to be a young lady you can bring this photograph out to bring back a time when she was a little girl sheltered from the elements in her father's jacket.

Mom of the year, Dad of the year? Whatever!! The kid is pretty, the shot is too cute, and she is a lucky little girl to have a Mom and Dad like you.
Cheers, Peter

I think she is trying to imitate a seal pup. The sort of shot that will bring back great memories in years to come.
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy new year Mark.
Vic.

She seems cosy Mark even if you were not. A lovely image of a sweet child,
Dave

PS the lavender farm is really situated on dirt that colour. There are quite a few vineyards in the area too all grwoing in that red dirt and on slopes facing the same way as the lavender is.
