Very good morning Jan.
Congratulation with your first upload, well, think it is ?
I notice you kept it small, cant view it larger.
I do my uploads with 1200 pixels, than it is good visible on a 19 inch screen, which most people use.
The wide border is imo rather large, that space could have been used for more 'picture', right ?
Nevertheless, your note and the picture itself tells a nice story.
Best regards from Jan

There is only one problem with your first post Jan - you've critiqued your own image and left us nothing to say except, well done and a good picture.

Interesting comp & shot Jan, I can't think of a better title
The sun has illuminated that arm/hand nicely, it all came together well for this one.
Happy New Year!

Hi Jan,
A nice colourful image for your first upload! The paint on that engine sure looks like it's suffered in the elements. This is certainly a well seen and interesting image and one that i would probably have missed . Well done and a warm and belated welcome to PC
Regards
Vic.

I see the 'comment issue' was taken care of afterall. Great! In addition to the comments above, I'll add that just seeing the arm adds to the intrigue - making us wonder all the more about the man behind the wheel. Also, fantastic pov with powerful layered diagonal composition. Glad to have you 'on board' here at PC!

I seem to have made a blunder with responding to the comments on my postings. I responded to the emails I was receiving (similar to the process on another online photographic site I belong to) but unfortunately those emails got sent back to Perfectly Captured than to the people to whom I intended them for. And further I had cleared out the messages on my page of Perfectly Captured so I could no longer respond to people's comments from the Perfectly Captured page.
So I would like to thank everyone for their comments and hopefully the emails I sent will go to the rightful people rather than into the circular file.

Beautiful close shot in clever framing. Love the tone and lighting in this shot.

A slice of life and reality. Nice composing with just the glimpse of hands to let us know there is someone there, doing their job. Really a unique view and much more interesting to me then seeing the entire person.

Jan, thanks for your comments on my Pheasant. They are not easy to creep up on, but I`ll keep trying. Like your pic. I worked on locomotives as a fitter for over 30 years including shunters similar (ish) to the one in your pic. It brought back memories some good some not so good (long hours).
