Hello Jan.
Perfect clear and 'crowdy'picture. Lots to explore in this.
On my tft 18.4 laptop screen it looks rather light. As I cant see any reall black colour, think it can use a bit more contrast ?
Ciao from Jan

Good processing to create this slightly cartoonish look - one which I'm sure you intended.

Hi Jan,
I've had a play with shaddow and highlight in CS 2 and it can do strange things to the colour and contrast in an image if not used in small doses. I'm sure that this result was intended though and i actualy quite like the slightly flat cartoon impression! Interesting work!
Regards
Vic.

I really like the 'graphic quality' (or as some have said cartoon quality) of this image. Also, great composition with the various groups of people well placed, and the train zooming by in the upper 1/3 of the frame. Very good PP work.

I like all the colorful elements here and having the train on the bridge really adds to this. As others have said, the shadow/highlight seems overdone resulting in that more flat, washed out image but I, too, will assume that was your intention.

I seem to have made a blunder with responding to the comments on my postings. I responded to the emails I was receiving (similar to the process on another online photographic site I belong to) but unfortunately those emails got sent back to Perfectly Captured than to the people to whom I intended them for. And further I had cleared out the messages on my page of Perfectly Captured so I could no longer respond to people's comments from the Perfectly Captured page.
So I would like to thank everyone for their comments and hopefully the emails I sent will go to the rightful people rather than into the circular file.

Good interest with the train & rails above, and all those people - smiles included
Well done!

Howard: Thank you for your kind comments. A combination that I could not pass up and hopefully the next month will allow for another set of photographs in the area. Maybe this time I will be able to get the overhead photograph with hockey players rather than curlers.

From the thumbnail I expected a filtered dots effect Jan but your use of highlights and shadows has produced a most interesting image,

Jan,
I love the process here and the colors are vibrant.
You asked on my image "Saturday Night Out" if my teacher was doing an actual watercolor painting and yes she is. She is doing a full watercolor picture of my image. I am not real sure what filters and process I used on that image but it was not a watercolor effect. If memory serves I think I used a buzz filter and Gaussian blur. Your image would also work well that way also but I love it as is.
