Hard life it is.
His first winter outside and alone.
This young swan kept himself warm by shaking his "hands".
Best wishes from Jan

Jan, Hi;

Exercise will help him warm up. Excellent action and daily wildlife image in a difficult winter of all animals. I like the atmosphere of this composition, as well.

Thanks

hello Jan, Holland seems to be having a very severe winter. I bet my aunt Gerda in Enschede still has her bedroom window open. It is always open!A nice action capture here of this juvenile exercising his wings. The white on white wintry compo is very striking. Joni

The pose of the swan (as you say keeping himself warm by shaking his "hands") and the beautifully nature of the muted background make for a striking winterscape.

Very attractive winterscape! Excellent composition with the swan balanced well by the iced trees on the right, and the entire f/g scene contrasting well with the muted lovely b/g. Well done Jan.

Thanks Patt.
And Jan, Joni and Larry aswell.
Must say, on Perfectly captured, the amount of visits (comments) are very poor.
Another thing which borrowed me, Too many menbers are without name.
I prefer to know to whom I talking to.
An intro picture with name can give a more friendlier caracter.
Best regards from Jan

I agree with Pat, this is a very appealing winter image, one that would go well on a greeting card. Well done all around, Jan.

Winter can be hard on wildlife too. Wonderfully captured.
