I think I may be un-registered ,I know I have definitely been certified ... does that count ?

Such a contrast between the London Eye and the House of Parliament across the Thames. I find that the other site I comment at is also quiet for the last couple of days... must be something happening to pull people away... everyone is out trying to find the Apple IPAD?

I'm in agreement with Mick, it is definitely a typical tourist shot but on the other hand it's definitely one that a tourist would want to purchase and take home for the memories. Super good perspective and I love how you've included the London Eye. I'd NEVER NEVER take a ride on it but definitely do love to look at it.

Late February, 2000, my wife and I made our first of 2 trips to England. We went into town to buy The Hat for our daughter's wedding and to do other tourist stuff. The Eye was open, though not officially, and we made the trip on what I believe was the first day. It wasn't quite as impressive as St. Paul's; but really really good. I don't like heights, but the enclosed space and the slow movement gave no more quakes to my heart than being in a very tall building and looking out a window. Tourist delight!
Maybe the winter blahs have everyone down and not getting new photos to post. I'll search around for old ones. It takes more than 1 to make a community.

Lol.. it's winter, and we're having another cold snap. Things will pick up! I'll do my part as soon as I'm convinced I won't die of hypothermia. Take heart.. and have a great vacation! Re this image - good enough technically, but everything seems so far away..

Hi Vic...
For the moment at least I'm no longer posting, though I do drop in to see your lovely photos!
It always amazes me now to see how the London skyline has changed, it's nearly thirty years since I was there so you can imagine the difference that I see.
I hope you have a great vacation next week and that you find better weather than you've had lately...I'm looking forward to seeing your shots!

I would like to think it is the post holiday slowdown or that people are involved in new activities in the New Year that might be short lived. It is of little consolation but this same situation can be found on many other sites. I confess to having been very busy of late and not here as much as I would like but, at the same time, I've submitted my subscription for another year. If you look at the large version of your photo, you can find there are some people out there.
