Hi peeps

Seeing poor Vic's message made me think ive not been posting lately... mostly because I have not picked up the camera in a long while. Just too much work right now, but please know that Brad and I are on the site everyday even though we dont appear to be active much is going on in the background.

I am catching up with my comments slowly and thought this ugly fellow would be suited to accentuate that point. I didnt quite get enough DOF but I love the detail on his shell and how he seems to look straight at the camera. Well he does with one eye anyway.

Ive about 3 very busy weekends ahead but hopefully then I can get shooting again.

Once again thanks for reading my waffle

Kind regards Helen

The falling away of the DOF creates the sense of motion with this image of the snail... Speedy Gonzalez so to speak. Good textural sense from the shell and the skin of the snail. Do these creatures have four eyes?

Nice close-up Helen. The dof looks good enough to me! You wonder how they can balance such big homes on their backs. Looks about to topple over! At least you're busy the coldest part of the year. Hopefully weather will be improving three weeks from now.

Great colour, DOF spot on for me very sharp, lovely textures on shell and body. Great subject but my better half hates these things in the garden.
best wishes

When I lived in PA, and after a rain, we would find these slimy little creatures all over the sidewalks etc., and had to be avoided with each step. I like that there is room in the f/g for presumed forward movement.

Enough DOF to provide plenty of detail. Been busy too and will be on holiday 7-14 February but will try to post a little more.
