Taken last November. It was warm, so much so, in fact, that fog rose above the water.
It was also early morning and still, so the water reflected the tranquil scene and the morning light added warmth--seems to be my theme for today, warmth that is--and rich color tones.

Wilt, Hi:

I like your warm theme for today. A beautiful early morning scene. The best time of day for photography in my opinion. Your composition is impressive.

I like the Indian Summer feel of your composition... that last burst of summer before the long cold days of fall and winter. I wonder if being on the sand spit in front of you would have brought more of the reflections of the sail boats into play in a photograph?

The slight haze from the fog gives a nice painterly feel to this picture. The colours seem a bit subdued to me, and I'd personally like to see the yellow selectiely increased just a tad. The composition and balance of land and water is great. Very beautiful waterscape!

Hi Wilt, A very nice contrast here with the trees and the nautical scene. I love the subdued light. Nicely composed and a real treat! Joni
