The contrast between the excellent white of the snow and the red is stunning. I think I would consider a tighter crop top just above the cloud and branch), bottom (putting the oats into the bottom right corner) and right (just to the right of the vertical stick and left of the leaning tree trunk).

An excellent example of recycling something old into something new and then the traveler gets to experience a little of what the people of past generations lived with. The contrast between the red of the building and the white snow works for me also.

Beautiful winter scene Lee with a well balanced composition and excellent contrasts (as noted above.) Good exposure and 'whiteness' in the snow, and pleasing details throughout.

I remember very well the i ce houses in New England. You've captured this one in it's most favorite time of year..."THE FRIGID MONTH OF JANUARY". Exposure is so "right on" - the snow is powder perfect white.

This is an excellent shot Lee, the notes are very good too .. I have never heard of this practise before or Ice houses .. fascinating stuff .. I certainly learn a lot from these photography sites .
