I really find this series of yours quite intriguing... the textural component between that of the wood and the pomegranate is really quite strong (one has the sense that they could reach right into the image and feel the texturing of both elements). The contrast between that of the wood and the pomegranate and the framing darkness works to bring a 3D feel to the composition.

You really are getting very good at this, both the choice of items for these still life shots, the placement and the lighting are all superb. An interesting and original idea here well done.
