I've had to spend some time recently sorting out my photo files and found a few i had forgotten about till now.
I've posted other images of the Dippers at this site but i liked this one because of the spot of light on him.

I like the transition from the white patch back over the darkened wings of the dipper as if the bird was caught emerging from the darkness, the inclusion of the catchlight in the eye (sort of the point on the exclamation mark of the white patch), and the clarity of detailing to be found in the form of the dipper.

Vic, Hi:

Marvelous light to enhance the color and details.

Wonderfully Done.

The 'selective' lighting really makes him stand out against the b/g, and the feather details are outstanding. Great job Vic.

Great image, very sharp and the localised light an added bonus. Well caught.

Hello there Vic

yes indeed this is a stunner, for me the way the light picks out the colour depth in his eyes is simply superb. Wonderful shot, well positioned within the frame a nice natural image with great detail, light and colour saturation.

Thank you for posting
kind regards Helen
