Wonderful perspective - I love the way you've captured the weed with the light reflecting through it's thin fibers - so delicate and yet so distinct. Very artistic photography.

I agree with Diane the detail and the light in the weed works very well. The short depth of field is very effective at drawing the viewer's eye to the weeds and although the background is obvious it does not detract from the key area of interest.
Is it that you have used film or a prime lens, but the depth of field seems to be quite different to most?
Thanks for sharing.

I'm drawn between the golden heads of the weeds and the blue hue of the reflective water in the lower left hand corner... works to keep my eyes focused in the foreground of the picture.
I see I'm not the only person that has used expired film. I let my film expire in my Canon EOS 650 for five years... some of the resulting pictures were quite fascinating.

Strong blue caste on the b/g hills, but interesting shallow dof, and excellent detail and emphasis on the 'weed.'

Absolutely beautiful and the DOF here is spot on to make the grasses pop from the screeen in a trylu 3d fashion.
Thank you for posting
kind regards Helen
