This is such a beautiful winter shot surrounded by leafless trees. The snow on the shack with excellent details of the design is very interesting. I like the framing and the blue sky between those tree trunks. Well done and have a nice day.

Sitting in the middle of a busy city it is hard to imagine the life that the trapper must have led that lived in this shack either through necessity or through choice. I can appreciate the life of that individual and the work that he had to do to live his life in this isolated location. Just looking at the picture brings a sense of peacefulness to me.

Great Winter image. The texture of the shack is fantastic.
Bit of a tilt? Could easily be the shack.

This would be a great subject to get all four seasons of.
Nice comp and fine exposure.
Bet this houses quite a few little animals too for the winter months.
Well done.

Great looking shot. I can see me visiting this place often just to photo from all angles and different times of the day.

Hi there - I remember the other two postings you have done at different times of the year. Fascinating the difference the seasons make to our shots. I think I like this one the best - I love the deatil in the shack and that pure blue sky.
Lovely shot

Love seeing this 'shack' in different seasons. The fall one was lovely, but this is also very striking with it's winter's light, beautiful textures, and gorgeous deep blue sky. Well worth revisiting!

Nice exposure and colours as the old shack gets older and more full of texture but also more beautiful each time we see it.

i was just going to say that this looks like a scene straight out of Canada and then notice it was taken in Canada. beautiful light, textures and full of character. Makes me a bit homesick. I grew up in the Rockies, in Canada. Joni

This is a wonderful winter scene. We are suppose to have snow again tonight and I am hoping to shoot something this beautiful tomorrow. We don't have any trapper sheds but we do have lots of old tobacco barns.
