Striking closeup image of the American Kestrel full of detail, clarity and color. The contrast between that of the American Kestrel and the muted nature of the background serves to bring a 3D quality to the picture. The catchlights in the bird's eyes are a plus for me.

Wow Lee - this is just fab. Really stands out from the background - great colours and details. I'm with Jan too - the catch light in the eye adds to the shot.

Hello Lee I adore birds of prey and have shot a few myself in the past. This however is absolutely stunning, the detail you have shown in those feathers fantastic, well done I really do love this.
