The detailing is so sharp and clear in your low light/high ISO picture. Without your comments I would think that this picture and your previous one had been taken in the middle of the day.

What's the cycling world come to: Spaniard riding American bicycles. Fine character study. I think most such shots should be b&w.

very nice lots of detail and nice and sharp that 85mm lens is a nice bit of glass

I like b/w because color, though beautiful, can be somewhat distracting. That is, the eye is drawn to the color whereas, in my opionion, b/w forces the viewer to concentrate on the subject and surroundings with deeper clarity and appreciation. For example, because of the sharp b/w values in the f/g, the man, chairs and bicycle pop out nicely against the b/g. Nice capture.

This is what I always do. Pushing up the ISO and shoot in b+w. This is just stunning with the bike balances well in the frame. Pleasing tone and excellent work with the lens.
