This is incredibly sharp and finely detailed - even more so if the capture was made handheld. Exposure is excellent too. I think you've found the ideal focal length for a macro lens which is not surprising as it approximates the equivalent of 90mm in our erstwhile full frame film cameras.
Nasty looking claws on that beasty!

I would be so tempted to crop this image and fill the resulting picture with the legs and body of the spider. The contrast between the coloring of the spider (especially those red pincers) and the muted nature of the background gives a 3D feel to the picture.

Glad you looked up and saw he was there - better that then have him "drop in on you"!!! Love the crisp and very rich saturation and the details are tack sharp. Tend to agree with Jan about cropping - but only to remove the bright background to the right. Congrats on the new camera!
