There really is a dream-like quality to this, mainly invoked by the "bridge in the sky". This picture also shows how important is composition. It is the addition - though faint - of the road and trees of the second exposure that lead the eyes to the bridge whence it slopes down towards the ships.
I well remember the disappointment after having spent precious time and money on creating a masterpiece only to find after developing my film that I'd used the same roll of film twice. It always seemed that our very best pictures were there but ruined. Oh the joys of film photography!
Happily the outcome of this particular mistake is worthy of printing (and bordering as here) IMO.

This definitely has a dreamlike quality to it. I like the peaceful feeling that effects me when I view it. Nicely done, Jan.

It really does work well. Agree with the above, and really like the color and toning.

I agree with, Vic. Serendipity worked to your advantage. I spent several days in Vancouver 2.5 years ago. Parts of it look as I imagined it did 40 years ago. There are other parts I am sure you would not recognize at all.

Very nice, really catches and draws the eye in. Certainly dreamlike as well. Serendipity or not, it's a very impressive image.
Thanks,
Wilt

It looks good, aswell the presentation with the nice borders.

Someone said "dreamlike", I'll second that. Unique meld of the two exposures, sometimes we get lucky

It takes a lot of talent or luck to make a double exposure work but you certainly did it here. I love the Sepia and the dreamlike quality. I spent several days in Vancouver with friends a few years ago and this brings back great memories. Thanks for sharing.

A fluke capture and a very good scan Jan. Lovely pastel colours in the image and the border sets it all off nicely,
