Taken last summer in the Greek Isle of Santorini, the striking electic blue against the stark white and soft pastels of the village bracketed by, both, rough mountainsides and blue seas make for a memorable scene.
Shot in RAW, converted to jpeg and resized for here.

It's been a while since I've seen images from Santorini and this picture of the blue and the white architecture brings back memories to that beautiful island. I think I would go crazy photo crazy presented with a view such as this... left... right... up... down... where... where?

Santorini is a destination that is high on my "bucket" list. The blue domes are so vibrant and electric against the pure white buildings.

A magical place for photography but also frustrating that one can never quite get to the the taking position one needs for the photo. I think here you might have been more discriminating and resisted the temptation to try to include everything (Although I do understand that when on holiday you have other things to concern you.) A longer focal length to crop in-camera just above the foreground arched brown roof and immediately to the left of the central building. Sometimes we are so taken by the whole scene that we forget to concentrate on the part of the scene which mosts attracts us. a smaller aperture/slower shutter would also provide more sharpness across the scene.
That is not to say that this is a bad picture - in fact it is well composed. You could try the suggested crop in your editor and clone out the bits of wire which will obtrude into the lower right corner.
Vic.

Hi Vic,
I hear you, true enough. I did crop some distractions out, but did like all the textures and colors, all punctuated by the deep blue tops.
The wires in the foreground are a distraction indeed.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions, though, and you're right, I was, and am, captivated by the scene, that's for sure. ;0)
Thanks again,
Wilt

Nice diagonal composition and those blue domes really pop. What a visual feast!

That architecture and the blue domes make Santorini so easily recognizable. You've certainly captured the essence of the place. Nicely done.
