An abstract on wheels!
Big and no doubt powerful but just like our modern trains they don't have the same beauty, grandeur and presence as our and your steam locomotives of old.
Good picture all the same.

The orange of the BNSF engine stands out strongly against the muted nature of the background trees while the slight blurring brings an energetic feel to the image. An interesting subject matter for me over the last few years; namely, trains (both engines and the rail cars). There is a site (http://www.railpictures.net/) which shows a range of train photographs from the old steam locomotives through to the most modern of engines and trains.

You certainly stopped the action although it is implied from the slight blur of the background. The orange stands out and, like Julie, I was drawn to the silhouette as well. Nicely done!
