Over the last 10 days we have been having some unusual weather here in Winnipeg; namely, fog which persists nearly the whole day with an
occasional sunny break. I thought I would take a couple of pictures of the fog one morning when it was relatively thin... more like mist. Soon after I took these pictures the fog thickened and most of the downtown buildings became invisible from the vantage point of my apartment.

I took the posted image through the construction site of the future Canadian Museum for Human Rights which is projected to be completed some time in 2012.

In CS3 I used the shadow/highlight function (50,5,20).

Very interesting composition and image. I like the "natural" framing of the red construction cloth and the, just slightly off, centering of the primary image in the mist.
Nice work,

Sorry for you, Jan, but now I dont feel so lonely anymore, haha
We aswell can have that kind of weather for days, but its sometimes a good moment to take exceptional pictures.
You managed it here too.
Regards from Jan

You have always amazed me with the number of interesting images you can capture from your apartment. This is certainly one of them and you have succeeded in capturing very well the fog which seems to be moving in bands.

I love the exposure here - the fog adds an intense level of intrigue. Exposure is perfect with the varying degrees of saturation to show a wonderful level of depth.

Balanced composition of this work in progress, (aren't we all) Smile
Like the bold orange and clarity of the FG, against the misty soft BG.
Well done!
