I like what you have done with this capture - the beam of light shining down from above gives a feeling like a higher power has lifted the fisherman from this boat to Fisherman's Heaven. Love the work you did on the sky - it's has such a polished look to it. Lots of stories coming out of this capture all by itself.

This is a great photo I would have possibly used "rule of thirds here" But then somedays it is just good to break the rules a good photo

I like the combination of the nature of the sky and the rowboat... Diane's description suits how I feel about this picture. One nit... the horizontal band right in the front of the prow of the rowboat has a strange feel for me... more like sea than sky.

The sky and the rays have it, very compelling image. Other "nits" notwithstanding, this is very nice work.
Thanks,

Good pp work, Lyn, but imo compo wise, the boat is too much centred.
Nevertheless, spendid sky and good lighted.

I like what you have done with this shot, has a nice " feel" to the quality of light. I also think that the boat could be offset a little possibly to the right but thats just me. Has a "Hopper" painting like quality. Great. Thanks

I like the total package. Good PP work, Lyn. I think I agree with Jan about the boat being a little too centered.

I love the overall effect. Reminds me of a painting I once had. I see 'something' mid-boat that doesn't quite gel, but otherwise super PP work and lovely, moody image.

You've done a good job of blending the layers here but you could improve it further by taking your eraser and setting a low-ish strength/opacity and gently erasing on the top layer - the overlap on the boat's hull and the join of sea to sky on the left.

Hi Lynn,
I must have missed this before.
This shot has qualities I cannot really define. All I an say for sure is that I I like it very much.
