This was obviously a very high contrast image even after the HDR so the sepia layer works to bring highlights back to a manageable state. I agree that B+W mostly works better for these historic subjects. Good capture and processing.

The work that you have done on the original photograph helps to bring a vintage feel to the composition.

The sepia and your post processing work well. I like all that there is for the eye to explore and find, including the woman on the porch.

I agree with all of the above, but one thing is distracting me - the background. For me it competes too much with the buggy. Otherwise, I really like that vintage look you've given the image. Pat
