There is something about this shot I really like, cant work out what it is yet, perhaps the contast, the fact it looks not white but silver on my screen or just that i cant stop following the wiggly lines down the hill and wishing I was there. Thanks
Best wishes

Absolutely amazing, Lynne. I love the silvery tones to it too - adds a l;ittle more chill to the mountazin. the little squiggley lines of the trails are so unique...never seen a capture quite like this one. You should enter it in a contest - looks like it's got "blue Ribbon" written all over it.

I find the near metallic feel of the composition really works to heighten the visual impact of the picture. The clarity of detailing and the interplay of sunlight and shadowing on the slopes of Mount Baker adds to the image. When I grew up in Vancouver I lived on the south slopes of the city and on clear days one could see Mount Baker from where I live... my uncle used to take me skiing there as a teenager.

Lynne, I agree with all. It portrays the cold so well that it gives me the chills. Great capture.
