It was near summer and everyone wanted to go to the carnival. I took this picture from my 25th floor apartment window and then in PS I used auto level (opacity 100, mode normal) and in Virtual Photographer I made use of ambience (opacity 100, mode normal). A lot of background noise but I liked the painterly like feel of the end composition.

Hi Jan,
I can see how hard you worked, and it is, pretty much, a bit of an abstract view of a carnival; extremely colorful and very busy.
I've looked at it for a while now, and just can't get there on it.
As an abstract it's close, but not enough, for me anyway.
Lots of work, and certainly interesting enough to get me to stare at it for quite a while. Wink

I'm in agreement with Wilth - just can't get there with you on this one. I love the vibrant colors and the painterly effect you added but the details are a bit obscured for me.

Interesting abstract effects.

Bright and colorful. Hard to believe you obtained this perspective from that high up. Do find the noise to be a bit of a distraction.

Sorry, doesn't work for me either. I find myself wanting to adjust my glasses - to no avail. If there was a tad more definition, I think I'd like it a lot, as it certainly is a colorful depiction of a carnival scene.

Maybe it's in our blood but I'm with Pete ... I think it's magical too. The abstract effect makes me feel just like I did when I was a kid at a carnival. Everything was like this to me. Love all the bright colors.
By the way, thank you for your comments on my pictures. I think you're right about a frame around the dramatic sunset. Thanks

Soft, blurred, glowing - call it what you will but this really conjures up the feeling of carnival.
