....Action...., ....Stop Action...., ....Panning....

Are all in the learning category for me. I think that is what the "Sunday Theme" is all about - getting one self out of their comfort zone and trying new things. Like the old saying "If you always do what you have always done - you will always be what you have always been".

Sandhill Cranes stop over in our neighborhood to rest, relieve stress and restore their energy, each spring as the fly from the Gulf Coast to Northern Canada, their nesting grounds.

The contrast between that of the Sandhill Cranes and the background grain field works to make the birds stand out in the image. Trying to figure out if the one crane is landing or if this is a fighting pose directed against one of the other cranes in the field?

Like the variety of poses and positions. As Jan has pointed out, they stand out nicely from the background. Nicely done, Larry.

Clumsy landing or dance display? Either way it's a good capture and I wish we had these photogenic cranes over here.

Hi Larry I like this one more than the other - love the action of the crane landing. I think you did a great job with this.
Thanks
Paula

They stop by my place too. Don't you love the sounds they make! Nice stop-action Larry and great for the theme.

Nice stop action here and especially with the sand hill that looks to be fighting off a few others for what's in his mouth. Great image here.
