The contrast between that of the Sandhill Cranes and the background grain field works to make the birds stand out in the image. Trying to figure out if the one crane is landing or if this is a fighting pose directed against one of the other cranes in the field?

Like the variety of poses and positions. As Jan has pointed out, they stand out nicely from the background. Nicely done, Larry.

Nice stop action here and especially with the sand hill that looks to be fighting off a few others for what's in his mouth. Great image here.
