At 6:07 in the afternoon on March 2, 2005 the sun finally made its return to shining in my north facing apartment window. Since October of 2004 the sun has not been shining in my apartment window and so for a brief minute it shone palely on my apartment wall and then it was gone but I knew it was going to be returning each and every day until the October of 2005. I just wanted to do something with that brief bolt of light shining through the blinds on my living room window.

The original image was a single sunbeam shining through the blinds on my living room window onto to an adjacent wall.

From Flaming Pear I used the chromasolarize effect, sphere warp A function, swerve effect, crop, and flood effect.

In the words of Bruce Springsteen "...we're just dancing in the dark..." Now that brief bolt of light dances in the darkness.

Hi Jan - I love the PP work you have done with this - very interesting abstract image. Really like the boarder you have done too - really sets the image off. I wish someone would do a tutorial on PC for creating boarders for images as it's something I really stuggle with.

Good morning, Jan.
WOW, what a fantastic and Artistic picture this is.
Big Complements for that amazing pp work.!
Worth for a huge outprint and hanging at the living room wall, during winter time, to remember whats coming back in spring.!
Pity your uploads are that small, sniff...
Best regards from Jan H.

Okay, Jan, tell us the truth, how much did Flaming Pear pay you for this? If they didn't, they should have. Love the very creative end result.

One of my favorite of your sunshine shots. Makes an awesome abstract. Love the flow, color and simplicity. Fantastic PS work!
