On my way from here to there along I80 in eastern Nevada back in the day (pre-1983). Stopped in a little town called Oasis off the freeway that seemed to consist of one building... gas station, restaurant, pool hall, what have you. It would have been nice to have taken this image with a flash but I didn't have the flash unit available and I just had time for one photograph before I left.

In PS I used auto level while in Virtual Photographer I made use of the classic mode in bw.

Maybe just time for one game before we go? No, she said and on we drove.

You will have to excuse the small size of this posting. I tried several times to increase the size of the image working from the original but I could not get any picture significantly larger than this image while maintaining the toning of the posted picture.

Happy Easter dear Jan.
Yes, Time is money, so move on, haha
Bet, your excuse for one more game, was to have one drink more, right ?
I like the story, good note with this picture.
Have a great day.
Cheers, Jan

I really absolutely love this atmosphere Jan.... Excellent!!!
At first I wanted you tell you to bring some more light (and details) in the dark backgrounds, but.... on second thoughts I think it would "kill" the atmosphere...
So... lovely work!

The light on the stick and ball and the Coors sign highlight the essence of the image and give us sufficient information for the brain to fill in the other dark details. There are loads of places like this along the 410 miles of I80 in Nevada. I like it.

A shame we can't see just a little more shadow detail but flash would have robbed this of atmosphere so this is better as is.

I like this with the ambient lighting that was available, why use flash and get just a snapshot? I also like the image in B/W!

Distinct mood with the focus here on the important players ;-)
One more came, one more round..
Used to hang out at places like this years ago, but a thing of the past these days.

An image which deserved B&W Jan, good POV and a nice grainy look,
