Striking image of the bottle fly... the large eye, the detailing on the body of the fly right down to the individual hairs and the grains of pollen, and the contrast between the fly and the background.
Not the most appealing of subject matters in my mind but presented in such a manner that one wants to view the creature in spite of themselves.

Hey Bill, good to see you here :-) As much as I hate flys, this one actually looks kind of pretty !Amazing detail here and the sharpness is exceptional!Gotta love those big red eyes!

Exceptionally well done macro. Love all thise microscopic details and the colors are rich and perfectly saturated. Never knew flies gathered pollen too.
