Same match, other team batting, but here the Bowler is about to let loose. One on the fascinating things is the run up and actual throwing--don't know that I have all the terms correct--of the ball; it's quite the dance. Smile
Cropped this one a lot to add to the panoramic feel of the scene.

I also have no idea about the Cricket rules, its not populare in Holland.
But even in Sri-Lanka, young boys are playing it on the beach.
Somehowe, it must be fun, right ?
Cheers, Jan

I know that people play cricket here in Winnipeg and perhaps when the matches start I should try and photograph a match. The area where the matches are held here in Winnipeg is quite open without any background distractions such as the parked vehicles.

Cricket is to many nations a sport not only to play but to follow for one's entire life. Very much like ice hockey here in Canada (witness what happened when Canada won the gold medal in this year's Winter Olympics... there was a collective sigh of relief across the nation when the winning goal was scored for Canada).

Hi Wilt, it seems you managed to get a bit of everything in during your visit.

The panoramic looks works well and the POV good.

David

PS cricket is so well known in Holland that they have a side competing in World Cup events.
