An Orange tip butterfly feeding on Hawthorn blossom.
At last the trees are coming into leaf and blossom and the insects are out in force to make the most of it.
These butterflies are very well camouflaged against the Hawthorn and it took a while to spot it even after seeing roughly where it landed. With the wings open, they stand very clearly with their bright white orange tipped wings.
Cropped to 30% and sharpened selectively on the focused elements of the image.

Wow, I did not even see the butterfly in the thumbnail, what a surprise! Good job of Mother nature keeping it safe :-) Great shot, the detail is wonderful!

Very sharp, wings are closed and in the plane of focus and great exposure. When I opend the enlarged shot my screen cropped a little from top and bottom and IMO it looked a little better composed, concentrated attention more on te butterfly. Just a thought. Brilliant.
Best wishes.
