Do not worry. Dad will stay with you.
This little cygnet was not strong enough (he was perhabs the last one who got born, just two days before)
So, while mom was teaching the other seven kids how to find food, dad stayed with this little kid, to protect him.

I really like this image with the father swan watching over the solitary young bird. The catchlight in the eye of the adult immediately leads the eye of the viewer to the young bird.

hello Jan, Dad is doing a very good job protecting this little one. A very good family scene. I love the catchlight in dad's eye. Is this little one swimming yet?
