Not yet "oil" but certainly rapeseed. Fine sky sets of the yellow very nicely and the church in the background makes a nice focal point as well.

I like the layering of color between the yellow of the canola, the blue sky and the white clouds (every time I see clouds like this I think of holidays), the quality of the lighting which enhances the colors for me and just the nature of the setting (makes me think of summer on the Canadian Prairies).

A very fine image Paula.
The gentle, sweeping curve of the field takes the eye perfectly to the well-placed church. The border of trees, the small building, attractive cloudscape and the foreground of yellow rapeseed all add greatly to this super image.
Without a doubt this was worth going back for - and getting lost!

Hi Paula,
Very, very, attractive image and composition. The field does totally draw the eye into the rest of the image and the deep blue sky pushes it back down to the church--which placed just off center also makes it quite interesting and compelling.
Good work, gorgeous image.
Thanks,
Wilt

Beautiful, love how the yellow compliments that great looking blue sky..
Looks technically right on the money to me, wish it was mine.
Well worth getting a bit turned around
