From a trip to Valentines Park, the largest green space in the London Borough of Redbridge, between Ilford and Gants Hill.

Being a large green space in an urban sprawl it gets a lot of visitors, and the birds and squirrels there have become very conditioned to accepting food from people, and peanuts in shells provide good food and excellent opportunities for photographers.

If you live anywhere near this park and have never been then you are missing something!

Valentine Park seems like an interesting location to photograph squirrels where the little creatures are not so skittish that they disappear with the first appearance of a human being.

The contrast between the muted nature of the background and that of the squirrel along with the catchlight in the eye helps to bring the squirrel alive in front of my eyes.
