The posted image is of two hot air balloons that were just rising into the sky over Winnipeg. I had been trying to get a photograph of a building on fire when I noticed the balloons and I took this picture... the smoke in the background is from the industrial building fire on the other side of the river from where the hot air balloons were rising.

Shot from the 25th floor of my apartment block angled through my living room window with the hot air balloons about 1 mile to the northeast of my shooting location.

In CS2 I used the shadow/highlight effect (50,0,0) and auto level.

Not an easy subject to capture sometimes. Lucky you to have such a lofty view. You could use the smokiness to your advantage and add some filters to this with some interesting effects too.

At first I thought it was one down, one to go!
But I see it's being prepared for flight..Never seen hot air balloons in action before, can you believe it!
Thanx for the explanation on the smoke there, I thought it was Los Angeles, CA smog there for a moment Wink
