Another part of the Jervaulx Abbey ruins - I believe the monks private cloisters.
Extra pp here to overcome the problems of strong backlighting.
For those who missed my tip on a previous image - If you are viewing on a small screen or laptop and can't view the whole large image - click the image for large version then hit the F11 key to remove browser toolbars top and bottom. To return, hit F11 again.

I find the placement of the stone columns works to draw the eyes of the viewer through the image to the steps and beyond... sort of like joining the dots. The green of the foliage and the toning of the columns work to complement each other in the image.

As was noted with your previous posting from the Jervaulx Abbey ruins one feels as if they are standing there in the ruins of the structure.

Perfect placement, so you picked a perfect angle from which to take the photograph----the exposure, the fluffy b/g clouds and long shadows all go into making a lovely image------nothing central here to worry about!! ha! ha!----Am I correct in thinking this is in the Yorkshire dales or has my geography gone caput!!!! I prefer this to your previous post, maybe there is more to look at because of the way you composed it .. I don't really know why but it does not matter anyway.
