A slight softness to the foreground which may be intentional as it gives the image the appearance of a painting.
The blue tinged background, dark green trees and autumnal foreground b lend quite harmoniously.

Hi Jan,
Nice transition from the rugged mountains to the softer looking plains!! Beautiful scenery which needs more places made for photographers like yourself to stop at!!
