A pathway running through one of many reserves in Launceston which are pockets of the original dry sclerophyll forest, another image taken from my archives and uploaded after my recent stay in hospital.

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives ~ Henry David Thoreau

I do like the interplay of sunlight and shadows which enhances the viewer's walk along the pathway (makes this viewer want to step right into the image and continue walking down the pathway to wherever it may lead).

The quote from Henry David Thoreau enhances your posting.

This is really very nice. The dappled sunlight playing across the pathway is wonderful and I can feel as if I'm there seeing the rich green vegetation and reddish, textural bark of the trees against the deep blue sky.

Hi David,
Very nice, I like the mix of patches of light and dark and the long shadows, all complimented by the detail in the woods.
The capper for me is your placement of the path in the image, and it curving slowly off to screen left.
As has been said, it feels as if I'm actually standing there.
Nicely done,
Thanks,
Wilt

I like the mix of light & shadow David, it's well composed with good colors/details. Great caption choice from Thoreau too Smile
Hope you're doing well.
