Really quite a striking mural... and it must be quite large also. Any idea who actually created the mural and how long it might have taken them to complete?
I would imagine that what we are looking at is a mural with no inclusion of extraneous elements (such as windows in buildings, real people (a couple on the left make me think I'm looking at actual people helping to re-enact the scene) or doorways). I ask because we have a mural close to where I live which takes up the whole facade of hotel but which incorporates the windows and doors of the hotel into the mural.

Now that's the kind of graffiti I like.
I see some of the buildings have strengtheners on them just like we have in Europe on old buildings so I'm guessing - this being Quebec - that it depicts a French scene.
Very impressive.

"La Fresque Des Quebecois Wall Mural Quebec City
Recounting more than 400 years of history, La Fresque des Quebecois is the work of 12 artists from both Canada and France. The wall mural was unveiled on October 17, 1999 in the old historic district of Quebec City.
A 420 square metre mural situated on the wall of house Soumande known as La Fresque Des Quebecois features many historic characters important to the development of the capital city of Quebec. Jacques Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, Francois-Xavier Garneau, and Jean Talon are just to name a few.
As well as depicting important historical characters who've helped shape the city of Quebec, it also features artists and writers. The mural has also capitalized on Quebec's architecture and geography by featuring the fortifications and stairs, plus each of the seasons and how they change over the course of time.
Tourists gathered to see La Fresque des Quebecois, a large wall mural on the side of an old building near Place-Royale in Old Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. UNESCO World Heritage Site "

Quite an impressive mural, much nicer than the stuff covering the walls in Melbourne (Oz). A good capture.

Thanks Wilt for your comments on my sparrow. This pic. of yours is simply lovely. I can stare ( and I have) at this pic. for a long time and see something different. Now that, I know, is down to the artists who put it up there but it was you that took the pic. (and well taken) and put it up on this site. Thanks for that......Charlie.
