The textural feel from the rusted metal through that of the ropes, the sense of flow that leads the eyes of the viewer from the pier to the ship and the colors all serve to create a visually pleasing dockage image.


I find myself wanting to crop to water level and though one loses the name of the ship I find the balance of the picture works for me.

I very much like the composition and crop. The eyes naturally follow from the rusty mooring bollard onto the ropes to the well maintained and colourful hull.

Tack sharp and a superb crop .. more is less they say
